Introducing Junior Miss Rio Vista
Jolene Kessler
Jolene is 16 years old and attends St. Joseph High School in Santa Maria, California where she maintains a 4.0 GPA. She is the World Champion Jumper for Youth 18 and under. Jolene took 1st in the State in Pole Bending and Hunter Hack, in Youth Jumping she placed 1st in the State and 3rd in the Nation. She also took the Reserve World Championship Award in Youth Hunter Hack at the APHA World Championship Show in Fort Worth, Texas. At the APHA Fall Classic Show in Los Angeles (November 1998), she won the Open Show High-Point Award, competing against professional trainers and riders with many years of experience, and set a precedent by winning the award as a youth. She entered the APHA show circuit in early 1998, competing in both English and Western classes and earned Rookie of the Year Award, Youth 13 and Under.
